TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE
By using Veterans.nv.gov (Web site), you are agreeing to be bound by the following terms and conditions of use. If you do not agree to the terms and conditions, please do not use this web site. The Web Site is owned and operated by the Nevada Department of Veterans Services (NDVS) and provided in support of Veterans and the Veteran community.
Acceptance of Agreement
You agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this Terms and Conditions of use Agreement (Agreement) with respect to your use of the Web Site. This Agreement constitutes the entire and only agreement between (NDVS) and you and supersedes all prior agreements related to the content, offers, or services provided by or listed on the Web Site and the subject matter of this Agreement. This Agreement may be amended by NDVS at any time without notice. The latest Agreement will be posted on the Web Site and you should review this Agreement prior to using the Web Site.
Acceptable Use
As a registered user of the Web Site you agree to all of the following;
You will ensure that the email address provided by you in your account registration is valid at all times and will keep your contact information accurate and up-to-date.
You will not share your password, let anyone else access your account, or do anything that might jeopardize the security of your account.
You will not use the Web Site for any unlawful purpose or to conduct any unlawful activity.
You will not use the Web Site to impersonate another person.
You will not imply or state, directly or indirectly, that you are affiliated with or endorsed by the Nevada Department of Veterans Services without express written consent.
You will not post illegal, unethical, politically oriented or otherwise socially unacceptable or discriminatory material on the Web Site.
You will not publish content or links to content that is; pornographic, sexually explicit, or violent or illegal including stolen copyrighted material or material that infringes or that has the potential to infringe on the intellectual property rights of another or that breaches another’s privacy.
You will not bully, intimidate, or harass any user.
You may not post anyone’s identification or financial information on the Web Site.
You will not send unsolicited messages to promote any website or organization published on this Web Site.
You may not upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available or initiate any content that contains software viruses or malicious code or files or programs that interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of the Web Site or that may impact the ability of any other Web Site user to access the Web Site.
You will not attempt to or actually access the Web Site by any means other than through the interfaces provided by NDVS.
You will not attempt to or actually override any security component included in or underlying the Web Site.
You will not attempt or engage in any action that directly or indirectly interferes with the proper working of or places an unreasonable load on the Web Site’s infrastructure.
You will not publish Content that is spam, is machine- or randomly-generated, and/or contains unethical or unwanted commercial content designed to drive traffic to third party sites or boost the search engine rankings of third party sites, or to further unlawful acts or mislead recipients as to the source of the material.
You will not use or view this Web Site if you are located in a country which is embargoed by the United States or are on the U.S. Treasury Department’s list of Specially Designated Nationals.
NDVS at its sole discretion will remove posts or content from the Web Site for any reason, without notification.
NDVS may determine in its sole discretion whether or not an account is in violation of any of these policies. Offending users may be permanently restricted from holding an account or using the Web Site.
If NDVS reasonably determines that your account is being used for illegal or fraudulent activity then your account will be immediately terminated. NDVS may also report you to law enforcement officials in the appropriate jurisdictions.
If NDVS disables your account, you will not create another one without our permission.
Your account is not transferable without prior written consent of NDVS.
By creating an account on the Web Site you give NDVS permission to use your information for the purpose of statistical analysis and to allow us to better serve you with benefit claims or other services available through the Web Site and to customize the appearance of the Web Site for you based on choices that you make during registration.
Registered Organizations
Only organizations created specifically as service organizations or in service to veterans or that provide specific products or services to veterans may use the Web Site.
You may not offer or attempt to sell illegal or potentially illegal Commercial Products, including those that are counterfeited, stolen or fraudulent. Commercial Products offered using the Web Site must comply with all applicable laws, including Commercial Products sold to individuals outside of the U.S. Items identified as “not for distribution within the United States” may not be offered using the Web Site.
You may not offer or attempt to advertise or sell Commercial Products that infringe or have the potential to infringe the intellectual property rights or proprietary rights of another.
You may not offer or attempt to advertise or sell Commercial Products that NDVS, in our discretion, determine are inappropriate, offensive, pornographic, sexually explicit or violent.
You may not offer or attempt to advertise or sell any Commercial Products that are manufactured as, or primarily intended to be used as, weapons, including firearms, restricted devices or ammunition. We reserve the right to determine, in our sole discretion, whether Commercial Products constitutes “weapons” for purposes of this Agreement.
You may not offer or attempt to advertise or sell any Commercial Products that infringe upon or have the potential to infringe upon an individual’s privacy or that may be libelous, slanderous or otherwise defamatory.
You may not use images or names of any third party (including notable personalities or celebrities) when offering Commercial Products without first obtaining that third party’s permission.
You may not use this Web Site for political gain or to promote an election or re-election effort.
Without limiting anything else in this Agreement, NDVS may immediately remove Content provided by registered organizations that are in violation of this Agreement.
NDVS at its sole discretion reserves the right to revoke your registration as an organization for any reason without notice.
Termination
Services or account registration or access to the web site may be terminated by NDVS, without cause, at any time.
Copyright
The content, organization, graphics, design, and other matters related to this website are protected under applicable copyrights and other proprietary laws, including but not limited to intellectual property laws. The copying, reproduction, use, modification or publication of any such matters or any part of the Site is strictly prohibited without the express prior written authorization from the Nevada Department of Veterans Services.
You may not use NDVS or Nevada Vet Net or Green Zone Initiative copyrights or any purposely similar marks, logos, or other identifying information without prior written consent of NDVS.
Content Management and Modification
The Nevada Department of Veterans Services reserves the right at its sole discretion to create, edit, or delete any documents, comments, or any other content or anything else on the website at any time and for any reason without notification or your consent.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold the Nevada Department of Veterans Services, its officers, partners, and employees and all other business relationships harmless from any and all liability, loss, damages, claim and expense, including reasonable attorney’s fees and court costs, related to your use of the Web Site or the content, comments, or offers contained within it.
Disclaimer
The Nevada Vet Net is provided “AS IS” “AS AVAILABLE” and the Nevada Department of Veterans Services provides no warranty of any kind either express or implied related to your use of the Web Site or the content contained on the Web Site or any other website with which it is linked. The information on the Web Site may contain bugs, errors, problems, or other limitations. Your use of this website in any way is at your own risk. No advice or information in any form obtained by you from any person through this website shall create any warranty, representation or guarantee of any kind. The information and all other comments and materials on the Web Site are provided for general information purposes only and do not constitute professional advice or opinion. It is your responsibility to evaluate the accuracy and completeness of any information available on this site or any website with which it is linked.
Limits
NDVS will not be liable to you for damages of any kind that may result from your use of or inability to use the Web Site in any way.
Third-Party Websites
NDVS is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or opinions expressed or contained on any other web site that may be linked to or from the Web Site and such Websites are not investigated, monitored or checked for Safety, accuracy, or completeness by NDVS. Inclusion of any linked Website on the Web Site does not imply approval or endorsement of the linked Website by NDVS. This Web Site and the third-party linked websites are independent entities and neither party has authority to make any representations or commitments on behalf of the other. If you decide to leave the Web Site and access these third-party linked sites, you do so at your own risk.

Submissions
All suggestions, ideas, notes, concepts and other information or data of any kind that you may send to NDVS via the Web Site or post on the Web Site (collectively, “Submissions”) shall be deemed to be and shall remain the sole property of NDVS and shall not be subject to any obligation to you or any other person or entity. Without limiting the foregoing, NDVS shall be deemed to own all known and hereafter existing rights of every kind and nature regarding the Submissions and shall be entitled to unrestricted use of the Submissions for any purpose without compensation to the provider of the Submissions or any other person or entity.
General
You agree that all actions or proceedings arising directly or indirectly out of this agreement, or your use of the Web Site or any products, offers, or services obtained by you through such use, shall be litigated in State or District court in Washoe Country in the state of Nevada. This Web Site is controlled by the Nevada Department of Veterans Services in the State of Nevada, within the United States of America and As such the laws of the State of Nevada and to the extent practicable the laws of the United States of America will govern the terms and conditions contained in this Agreement and elsewhere throughout the Web Site. You hereby waive any right to a jury trial in any proceeding arising out of or related to this Agreement. If any portion of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining portion will remain in full force and effect. If we fail to enforce any of this Agreement, it will not be considered a waiver.
