Atlas General Veteran Opening in Mesquite

ATLAS (Accessing Telehealth through Local Area Stations) makes it easier for Veterans to access care through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Offering Veterans VA Care Closer to Home

ATLAS (Accessing Telehealth through Local Area Stations) makes it easier for Veterans to access care through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The program establishes convenient locations for you to receive VA care, reducing obstacles such as long travel times to appointments and poor internet connectivity at home.

As part of ATLAS, VA has teamed up with public and private organizations to offer comfortable, private appointment rooms at select locations for you to have video telehealth appointments with your VA providers.

Video Telehealth Services at ATLAS

ATLAS sites offer you a private appointment room to virtually meet with your VA providers.

  • Using VA Video Connect, VA’s secure videoconferencing software, you can connect with your providers through real-time video.
  • Each site is equipped with all the technology you need for your appointment. This includes internet connectivity and a computer with video capabilities. You do not need to bring a personal device.
  • An on-site attendant is available at ATLAS sites to guide you through the process of connecting with your VA provider.
  • Clinical service offerings at ATLAS sites are designated by the supporting VA Medical Center(s) and may include primary care, mental health, and specialty services.
  • Veterans enrolled for care at a VA facility associated with an ATLAS site are eligible to participate.
  • Talk with your provider to see if ATLAS might be an option for your health care.

NDVS (Nevada Department of Veterans Services) is currently dealing with a large number of requests.

VSO intake appointments are taking about 30–90 days to schedule. The wait time depends on which location you choose and appointment availability. If you have already submitted a request, you may need to wait longer than usual for someone to contact you. It does not necessarily mean your request has a problem, it’s primarily a notice about the current backlog.
