The Nevada Department of Business and Industry (B&I) is committed is committed to helping people start and grow businesses in Nevada, as well as helping small businesses impacted by the pandemic. One way this is done by connecting people with the right resources across the state.

B&I offers two free information products to assist in this effort. These products are online and are available to any interested party.

The first is the Guide to Starting and Growing a Business in Nevada – The ROAD MAP, available at:
https://business.nv.gov/Resource_Center/Nevada_Business_Start_Up_Guide/

The guide is an interactive document covering 15 essential topics for those thinking of starting or needing help during the recovery. Download the Guide and use it while connected to the internet. Navigate the document by clicking topics on the included Road Map. Among other things, the Guide has a licensing page with a clickable state map to connect people to local and regional business resources. With hundreds of links, The Road Map simplifies the process of learning what’s needed and who to talk to.

The second is the Nevada Business Support Ecosystem Chart, a one-page visual diagram that outlines Nevada’s ecosystem of business support resources. It’s available at: http://business.nv.gov/Resource_Center/Business_Support_Ecosystem/.

The Ecosystem Chart offers a high-level orientation to the categories of business resources available in the state. It highlights federal, state and local government resources, as well as private sector resources. View the chart as is or download the PDF and click the interactive links while connected to the internet (the names of entities cited in the PDF are linked to their respective websites).

Both products are intended to help Nevada businesses navigate new opportunities and get help during challenging times. Use the options above to explore the many resources focused on small business support. Identify an entity or program that offers help in your area of need. Then contact them to see what they can do for you. You can contact for assistance at 702-486-2750, or by email at: biinfo@business.nv.gov
