Community Events in North Las Vegas 


The North Las Vegas Veterans & Community Resource Center (3090 E. Centennial Pkwy, North Las Vegas) is proud to share its February 2026 lineup of programs and services available to veterans, their families, and community members. Below is an overview of what’s available this February: 

VA Disability Claim Assistance (Tuesday–Saturday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM) 
VA-accredited Veterans Service Officer (VSO) available to assist veterans and their families with filing VA disability claims, explaining claims process, submitting appeals, and answering benefit-related questions. Services provided at no cost and appointments are strongly encouraged to ensure personalized support at (702) 633-1640. 

Employment & Career Services – EmployNV 
Meet one-on-one with an EmployNV Career Services representative for assistance with job searches, resume preparation, training opportunities, job referrals, and connections to supportive Veteran services. Call (702) 633-1640 for appointments and information. 

Housing Support – Salvation Army 
The Salvation Army will be onsite at the resource center to assist veterans and their families with housing stability. Services may include case management, housing counseling, referrals to VA and community resources, budgeting support, landlord/tenant mediation, and temporary financial assistance. Call (702) 633-1640 for appointments and information. 

Free Tax Preparation Services 

Silverado VITA Coalition (Fridays & Saturdays, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM): Walk-in free tax preparation services for eligible individuals and families. No appointment required. AARP Tax Aide (Select Mondays & Tuesdays, by appointment only): Free tax preparation for seniors and eligible community members. Appointments must be scheduled in advance through AARP. More information, go HERE.  

Wellness & Special Events 

Red Cross Art & Mindfulness Lunch & Learn: A creative wellness workshop focused on effective communication, mindfulness, and connection. 

Women’s Fun Day: A supportive peer event offering fellowship, conversation, and a relaxed lunch environment for women. 

Brotherhood Day: A peer networking and support event for male Veterans, including a complimentary lunch and opportunities to connect with fellow Veterans.
