Veteran of the Month and Veteran Supporter of the Month Honored in Special Ceremony

Governor Steve Sisolak honored and recognized five recipients of the Veteran of the Month or the Veteran Supporter of the Month (VOM/VSM) during an in-person ceremony in Carson City last month.  

Those honored included:  

March 2020 (VOM) Monk Mann 

July 2020 (VSM) Association of General Contractors  

January 2021 (VOM) Al Camp 

February 2021 (VSM) Jon Yuspa 

July 2022 (VSM) Comstock Lode Quilters and Quilts of Valor  

The VOM/VSM recipients missed their in-person recognition with the Governor due to the pandemic.  The VOM/VSM awards recognize the volunteer work done to benefit Nevada’s veterans, servicemembers, and families. The public ceremonies provide recipients with the thanks they deserve and to raise awareness to the public in general about volunteer opportunities available to support or benefit the Nevada’s veterans’ community.
