Hearts Abound at State Veterans Homes

Thanks to Blue Star Moms of Spanish Springs and AARP’s Wish of a Lifetime for sponsoring Valentine’s Day with us at the Northern Nevada State Veterans Home and spreading lots of love for our residents! AARP donated a rose for every resident, and the Blue Star Moms served fruit with a chocolate fountain.

Residents were treated to decorations, food, gifts, homemade cards, goodies and more! Thank you to Congresswoman Susie Lee; “Chance,” the Las Vegas Golden Knights Mascot; AARP; active-duty members of the Air Force 372 Training Squadron Detachment 13, Munitions Instruction; Nellis AFB; Nevada Veterans Assistance League; Daughters of the American Revolution, Valley of Fire, VFW Meadview, Cub Scout Pack 27, Boulder City;  Boulder City Elks Lodge #1682 as well as Dawn Lee Agency, Owner with Farmers Insurance for coordinating “Operation Secret Valentine Program.”
