Las Vegas City Councilman Brian Knudsen Becomes an NVA

Congratulations to Las Vegas City Councilman Brian Knudsen! He is now a graduate of our online Nevada Veteran Advocate (NVA) course. He recently completed the training to receive his certificate and become an official NVA!

As a Nevada Veteran Advocate, Councilman Knudsen will help in the outreach and education efforts to active-duty military members, NV National Guard, Reserves and veterans, as well as their families. The NVA course provides information that helps graduates connect servicemembers, veterans and their families to earned benefits due to service in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Councilman Knudsen has joined the ranks of nearly 800 Nevadans who have taken the NV Advocate online course to earn their NVA certificate.

Fred Wagar, NDVS Deputy Director of Operations said he discussed the online training program with Councilman Knudsen near the end of 2021. Within two months, NDVS was notified that Councilman Knudsen had completed all twenty modules of the NVA training program.

On February 1, 2022, DDO Wagar (R) and NDVS Outreach Director Evan Rush (L) presented Councilman Knudsen with his NVA certificate and shirt at Knudsen’s Office inside the Las Vegas City Hall.
