Dedication Ceremony Set For The Crombie Academy


NDVS will host a dedication ceremony, on March 4, 2022, for the PFC Nick Crombie Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)Training Academy, located at the Southern Nevada State Veterans Home. The academy is a workforce development program that is free for participants. It provides potential CNA job opportunities at the SNSVH.  

The program is named in honor of Winnemucca resident, PFC Nick Crombie, who died while serving in the Iraq War. Read more about PFC Nick Crombie here.    

The Crombie Academy is a workforce development programthat offers an introductionto basic nursing skills,nursing assistant duties and responsibilities,as well as anunderstanding ofveteran culture in an acute and long-term care setting at SNSVH.This program prepares students for the Nevada CNA State Board of Nursing Examination.
