Save the date for Veterans Day, November 11, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. to attend the unveiling and lighting of the Nevada State Veterans Memorial at its new home at the Thunderbird Family Sports Complex, 6105 North Durango Drive in Las Vegas!
The memorial features 18, larger than life, 7.5 foot bronze statues sculpted by artist Douwe Blumberg. The statutes depict service members and civilians from the Revolutionary War through the Global War on Terror.
The memorial was first dedicated in the year 2015 and was located outside the Grant Sawyer State Building in downtown Las Vegas. The memorial was moved prior to the sale of the building and now features new landscaping, an open-air promenade, and amphitheater, improved parking and restrooms.
