Nevada Transition Assistance Program (NVTAP)

The Nevada Transition Assistance Program (NVTAP) provides information, tools, and training that highlights Nevada’s benefits and services. The purpose of the program is to ensure separating servicemembers, veterans of all eras, and their families are prepared for the next step in civilian life.

NVTAP Goals

  • Inform and connect separating servicemembers, veterans of all eras, and their families to Nevada’s benefits and services.
  • Coordinate the delivery of NVTAP with other state partners to ensure separating service members, veterans, and their family’s needs are met.
  • Continually assess need for changes in information presented.
  • Provide online information, organized by topic, for transitioning service members and veterans moving to or living in Nevada.

NDVS hosted its first NVTAP in-person event at the Army National Guard Readiness Center in North Las Vegas on July 30, 2022. While the U.S. military provides transition assistance classes, this event and the NVTAP program are aimed at focusing on the Nevada-specific benefits and resources available to veterans who plan to call Nevada their home!
