We Did It! NNSVH Veterans Art Garden Fundraiser

Congratulations and thank you to everyone who attended, participated in, and supported the Northern Nevada State Veterans Home Veterans Art Garden BBQ & Raffle Fundraiser last month at the Reno Elks Lodge.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community and partners, we surpassed our $50,000 fundraising goal. The money will be used to complete the purchase and installation of artwork for the Veterans Art Garden.

The garden is more than beautiful. It is a place of healing, giving our residents a space to restore themselves physically, spiritually, and emotionally. We could not have done it without our volunteers, supporters, benefactors, sponsors, partners, and the community.

Thank YOU for helping us make this vision a reality!

NDVS (Nevada Department of Veterans Services) is currently dealing with a large number of requests.

VSO intake appointments are taking about 30–90 days to schedule. The wait time depends on which location you choose and appointment availability. If you have already submitted a request, you may need to wait longer than usual for someone to contact you. It does not necessarily mean your request has a problem, it’s primarily a notice about the current backlog.
