The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles is the state agency responsible to issue drivers licenses, vehicle registrations and license plates in the Silver State. We also license, regulate and tax the vehicle, motor carrier and fuel industries. The department’s mission is to modernize and reinvent DMV services through technology, innovation, customer service and training while guarding against fraud and protecting the driving public through licensing and intervention practices while ensuring privacy protection of DMV records.
