State of Nevada Licensing Boards/Reciprocity Program

The State of Nevada passed Assembly Bill 89, requiring state licensing boards to develop reciprocity opportunities for service members, veterans and their families who hold licenses in other states.

Military and Veterans Spouse Employment

The following state licensing boards provide reciprocity opportunities:

• Nevada State Board of Accountancy
• Board of Architecture, Interior Design and Residential Design
• Nevada State Board of Dental Examiners
• State Board of Landscape Architecture
• Nevada State Board of Pharmacy
• State Board of Psychological Examiners

The following state licensing boards provides license by endorsement:

• Nevada State Contractors Board (addition provide Veteran Assistance Program)
• Nevada State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors
• Nevada Board of Examiners for Marriage and Family Therapists and Clinical Professional Counselors
• Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners
• Nevada Physical Therapy Board
• State of Nevada Board of Examiners for Social      Workers
• Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensing Board
• Nevada Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners

The following state licensing boards offers no expedited service or reciprocity opportunities, however they have identified that due to minimal application processing time it is not necessary:

• Nevada State Board of Athletic Trainers
• Chiropractic Physicians Board of Nevada (3-4 wks processing time/issue temporary license)
• Nevada State Board of Cosmetology (2 days processing time)
• Board of Environmental Health Specialists (1-3 days processing time)
• Funeral and Cemetery Services Board (7-10 days processing time)
• Nevada State Board of Nursing (15 days processing time)
• Board of Occupational Therapy (1-3 days processing time)
• Board of Oriental Medicine
• Nevada State Board of Osteopathic Medicine (member of Medical Licensure Pact)
• Nevada Physical Therapy Board (1-7 days processing time)
• Private Investigators Licensing Board

The following licensing boards have provided no information on reciprocity or expedited opportunities however the State continues to work toward reciprocity for all licensing boards:
