Department of Employment, Training & Rehabilitation (DETR) is Nevada’s leading workforce development agency. It consists of divisions that offer workforce-related services, job placement and training, services for people with disabilities, investigation of discrimination claims, unemployment insurance benefits, labor market data and more.

Employment Security Division (ESD)

The Employment Security Division (ESD) oversees unemployment insurance which is responsible for the collection of employment taxes and provides temporary wage replacement for workers who are unemployed through no fault of their own.
