Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Receives Patriot Employer Recognition

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas has long been known to be a veteran-friendly business, but on December 11, 2018, the Cosmopolitan became part of an elite, but growing group of businesses recognized for supporting veterans.

NDVS Deputy Director of Programs and Services (DDPS) Fred Wagar and Evan Rush, Southern Nevada Outreach Director, presented a Patriot Employer Program Certificate to Lori Calderon of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Calderon is not only the Talent Acquisition Director, but also the Supporting Our Veterans Initiative Champion.  The Cosmopolitan (aka The Cosmo), is a luxury resort casino and hotel on the Las Vegas Strip that opened in December 2010.

According to Calderon, The Cosmopolitan has a workforce of approximately 5,000 staff. Currently, veterans make up approximately six percent of the Cosmo workforce. She added the Cosmo is diligently seeking to hire more qualified veterans.
