In a presentation at the Nevada State Veterans Home, Carole Turner was recognized as Veteran of the Month – April 2012. Though Carole was previously the Deputy Director for the Nevada Office of Veterans Services and played a key role in the agency for many years, it is Carole’s work outside of her role of NOVS which garnished her this recognition.
“Carole has been a tireless advocate for women veterans issues throughout her career including her role in the completion of the Nevada Women Veterans License Plate," said Executive Director Caleb Cage. “And though we have to move on without Carole at NOVS, I believe Carole will continue to be actively involved in many facets of veterans issues in the future. It’s been an honor to work with her and to present this well deserved recognition on behalf of Governor Brian Sandoval."
