The Nevada Department of Veterans Services (NDVS), Southern Nevada State Veterans Home (SNSVH) is recruiting for a Transportation and Safety Attendant 2, for its 24/7 skilled nursing facility located in Boulder City, Nevada. Under the direction of the Transportation and Safety Attendant 3, the incumbent serves as the department’s safety officer and is responsible for enforcing laws, rules, and regulations related to State law and agency safety and security policies. This position promotes effective security operations for the protection of people, property, and the facility. The Transportation and Safety Attendant 2 is also responsible for transporting residents to outings and medical appointments using a shuttle bus, van, or car.
Additional duties include assisting residents during activities and appointments; supporting residents, staff, and visitors by providing tours of the facility, answering the main telephone line, and directing calls to the appropriate department; maintaining proper use, control, accountability, and issuance of keys, lockers, and related items; performing preventive maintenance and inspections of the facility and vehicles, as outlined in department policies; conducting routine rounds of the facility during assigned shifts and performing other related duties as assigned. This position is required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
