Navy veteran James Kerr will be honored on June 22, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. in the Atrium of the Grant Sawyer Building as Veteran of the Month for June 2017. The Grant Sawyer Building is located at 555 E. Washington Ave, Las Vegas, NV.  
 
James served in the U.S. Navy for four years. He was nominated by Mr. Richard Keirn for his service to veterans. James has served veterans as a Veterans Service Officer including seven years at the Board of Veterans Appeals.  
 
Honorees are selected by the Nevada Veterans Services Commission each month. The honor was established by the Nevada Department of Veterans Services and announced by Governor Sandoval on Veterans Day 2011 in order to recognize volunteer service to our veterans, our military and community.
