- Nevada Transition Assistance Program (NVTAP)
(Reno, Nevada) – The Nevada Department of Veterans Services (NDVS) is announcing the launch of the Nevada Transition Assistance Program or NVTAP.
NVTAP will support military members who plan to call Nevada their home after they transition from the military to civilian life. The program is designed to inform and connect Nevada veterans of all eras to earned State and Federal benefits. The program will also provide continuing support and assistance as the needs of veterans and their families change over time.
NVTAP provides information and assistance through informational modules presented in-person and virtual workshops in the following areas:
“NVTAP supports veterans from the very start of their civilian life, so they are familiar with the support, programs and services provided by NDVS,” said NDVS Director Kat Miller. “NDVS assists veterans in navigating what can sometimes be a challenging system to connect them to the benefits they’ve earned through their military service.”
Information on NVTAP may be found on the front page of the NDVS website at veterans.nv.gov.
