Several Veterans Day celebrations took place this year across Nevada. NDVS played a role this year in participating, supporting, hosting, or publicizing many of these events.
In Las Vegas, Governor Sisolak spoke to a large crowd at the Nevada State Veterans Memorial, located outside the Grant Sawyer Building. This location is close to the annual downtown Las Vegas Veterans Day Parade. The closer proximity provided attendees the opportunity to participate in both the parade and the ceremony.
The Las Vegas ceremony included a special Veteran of the Month and Veteran Supporter of the Month recognition.

In Boulder City, residents at the Southern Nevada State Veterans Home participated in morning events to celebrate the day. At the Northern Nevada State Veterans Home in Sparks, a special Veterans In Care recognition program was held.
In Reno, NDVS volunteers walked the parade route with the help of members with the peer support group, Veterans K-9 Corps. The dogs were a big hit!
Some of the other, larger Veterans Day celebrations included events in Pahrump, Mesquite, Elko, Henderson, and Virginia City.
