NDVS and Nevada National Guard Host First Suicide Prevention Forum

September 2022 marked another NDVS “first” and another major milestone. The Nevada National Guard (NVNG) and NDVS hosted the first Suicide Prevention Forum in Las Vegas. The event provided information and raised awareness about the topic to some 300 NVNG members.

Finally, it is with mixed feelings that our NDVS Suicide Prevention Program Manager Sarah Hogue has left her position with our department to join the U.S. Army to work in a similar capacity with the Army’s Suicide Prevention Program. This is a promotion and tremendous opportunity for Sarah, and we wish her well. That leaves her position to fill, and we are looking for dedicated candidates.
