A Day of Infamy – the Attack on Pearl Harbor

On December 8th, as President Roosevelt addressed congress, he said that December 7th, 1941, would be a, “date which will live in infamy”. And it would be so as a reluctant U.S. joined in on the fray of World War Two determined to end the war that had come to it’s doorstep. As we near the 80th anniversary of this tragic day, NDVS wants to ensure that for our remaining World War Two Veterans, all have the opportunity to request a copy of “War Stories- A collection of Memories from World War 2 Veterans” from our office.

Over the span of the last year, one of our state's veterans and Reporter Steve Ranson would also go on to publish Legacies of the Silver State, a collection of stories from Nevada’s World War Two Veterans.
