Nevada Department of Veteran Services Adaptive Sport Program (ASP) is a partnership with the cities of Las Vegas and Reno.
Through the City of Las Vegas Adaptive Recreation Division, community-based therapeutic recreation services provide opportunities for individuals to become and to stay active in the community. The City will provide approximately 395 disabled veterans with a variety of adaptive sports activities at no charge.
Therapeutic recreation services offered in Las Vegas includes but not limited to Aquatic Therapy; Fishing; Golf; and Hand Cycling. For further information on additional program services and sign-up information email: bpreston@lasvegasnevada.gov.
City of Reno Parks and Recreation offers year-round adaptive recreation programming: wheelchair rugby, wheelchair basketball, adaptive cycling, Veteran programs, and adaptive equipment rental. Veteran programs include: Fit but not Forgotten Veteran fitness program, Military Sports Camp, Military to the Mountain, and Project HERO City of Reno Veterans cycling program. All current adaptive/therapeutic programs are available to all individuals regardless of ability and/or military status. For more information please visit: www.reno.gov/adaptive
