Consider Career Opportunities in Education

The UNLV Nevada Forward Initiative was created for those who want to continue to make a difference by becoming a K-12 teacher in our Nevada Public Schools.  Specifically, this initiative is offered to:  

• Those who have 0-60 hours in college general education core credits– See the UNLV Rebel Start Academy pre-apprenticeship program at http://nvforward.sites.unlv.edu/programs/rsa 

• Nevada Institutions of Higher Education are accepting those who have already earned at least 60 hours in college general education core classes with a goal to have those within this category complete their degree in education and to be eligible for a Nevada Professional Teaching License within one calendar year. • Those who already have a bachelor’s degree or higher in a field other than education—See the UNLV Accelerated Alternative Route to Licensure (A-ARL) program at https://nvforward.sites.unlv.edu/programs/a-arl/   

With funding that is now available, this initiative is being offered to those accepted with tuition covered at no cost.  It is indeed a rare opportunity. All of this information is also summarized on the Patriots to Education website at http://www.patriotstoeducation-nv.com
