Emergency Funds Still Available for Caregivers

DHHS still has emergency funds available for caregivers. These funds are a one time assistance for family and friend caregivers who have an unplanned, unavoidable absence and need to find care for their loved one but have difficulty paying for care. 

These emergency funds are for one time emergent needs where a caregiver has an unavoidable or unplanned absence and need to find care for their loved one quickly. Caregivers can use these emergency funds to get care for their loved one not only from professional agencies, but from their own social network like friends/family/neighbors/etc. Funding is distributed on a case-by-case basis and is contingent on availability.
