NDVS- MAINTENANCE REPAIR SPECIALIST 1- Southern Nevada State Veterans Home, Boulder City, Nevada

The Nevada Department of Veterans Services, Southern Nevada State Veterans Home (SNSVH) is recruiting for Maintenance Repair Specialist 1, located in Boulder City, NV. Maintenance Repair Specialist performs a variety of skilled work in two or more of the mechanical and construction trades, in order to repair, construct, and/or maintain buildings, grounds and equipment.  Under the general supervision of a facility supervisor, incumbent performs a range of duties such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, and equipment mechanical work. Through written and oral direction, incumbents plan, lay out and prepare cost estimates for projects; perform most repair and maintenance activities independently and are assigned to facilities having varied building and mechanical systems, equipment, and structures. The majority of skilled maintenance and repair work is performed in-house. Incumbents must possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training. The Nevada State Veterans Home is a 24-hour facility; therefore, applicants may be required to work shift work.
