We are already in the planning stages for a special day set aside by the Nevada Legislature to honor and recognize veterans and military members. This year Veterans
and Military Day at the Legislature will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2019.
The day-long event starts with an opening ceremony at 9:00 AM featuring our new Governor Steve Sisolak. The ceremony will take place in front of the Veterans Memorial, located behind the Capitol Building.
There will be static military displays, a free BBQ lunch, and exhibits of interest to veterans, their families and the military community.
The United Veterans Legislative Council will pair selected veterans with lawmakers in both the Senate and Assembly for special recognition and honor!
It is a day you won’t want to miss, so mark your calendar and we will have much more information for you in February!
