Luminary Event in Honor of Gold Star Family Day

The public is invited to attend a Luminary Event to commemorate national Gold Star Mother’s and Family’s Day.

The event will be held on Sunday, September 25, just before sundown, at 6:00 p.m. at  the northern Nevada’s Gold Star Memorial, outside the Northern Nevada State Veterans Home, 36 Battle Born Way, Sparks, NV.

The Luminary Event is a day we come together to honor those who have lost a loved on serving in the U.S. military. It is a reminder of the tremendous service and sacrifice that our military members and families make in service to our country. Some families have lost a loved one in this service which serves as a reminder that we should never take our freedom for granted because freedom is never free.
