Meanwhile, the third and final part of a three-part series on Military Sexual Trauma (MST) came to a close last month. Nearly 30 individuals attended this portion of the series, which was facilitated by Jeremy Perkins, who is the Sexual Assault Response Officer for the Nevada National Guard. The entire series offered an up-close and personal perspective on MST, digging into the symptoms and common reactions, along with the treatments and ethical considerations of healthcare professionals caring for MST survivors.
These educational sessions are held in partnership between NDVS and the Perry Foundation. CEU credit is pending through the Nevada State Board of Nursing, Board of Examiners for Long-Term Care, and the Board of Examiners for Social Workers. For more information about these educational sessions, contact Rachel Jelenic, Healthcare Program Manager, at jelenicr@veterans.nv.gov.
