NDVS Outreach Highlights

The NDVS Outreach team is kicking off the New Year with a full calendar, however, if you have an event you feel NDVS should attend, let us know! Our Community Outreach team is available to provide information about our programs and services. They will also assist in connecting veterans and their families to a Veterans Service Officer for assistance with filing claims or appeals to the VA.

Highlights from events attended last month included meeting with members of the Association of the United States Army during its board meeting.  The keynote speaker was Colonel Michael L. Lindley. He is the Commander of the U.S. Army Recruiting Brigade. Maria had the opportunity to meet with members as well as Colonel Lindley and his wife, who is also named Maria.  

In northern Nevada, Jim Richardson attended the Nevada Army National Guard’s Drill weekend as well as the Holiday Briefings at the Washoe County Armory. Retired Command Sergeant Major Richardson briefed more than 200 citizen soldiers with the Army Guard’s 757 CSSB, 422 Signal Battalion and the 1859th Truck Company on the programs and services provided by NDVS.
