The Nevada Department of Veterans Services (NDVS) is pleased to announce the launch of its new online Veterans Benefits Registry

(Reno, Nevada)  The Nevada Department of Veterans Services (NDVS) is pleased to announce the launch of its new online Veterans Benefits registry.

The registry will provide three key benefits to Nevada’s veterans and their families. First, registrants will be connected to both State and Federal information about benefits, resources, and programs earned through U.S. military service. Second, VIS registrants will stay connected, meaning they will be notified of important information that could impact their lives, such as VA benefit changes. Finally, in the next phase of implementation, VIS will soon offer registrants the convenience to be able to access State benefits without having to physically present their DD214 to prove military service.

The registry will also provide NDVS with information enabling the agency to better serve Nevada’s veterans.

“To assist veterans, NDVS had to first identify them,” said Kat Miller, NDVS Director. “Until now, we did not have a comprehensive way to maintain an accurate list of Nevada veterans. The VIS registry will fill that gap and allow us to understand the needs of Nevada’s veterans to better serve them.”

The Veterans Benefits Registry may be found on the front page of the NDVS website at veterans.nv.gov. Nevada veterans are encouraged to register to get connected and stay connected. Please register here: https://veterans.nv.gov/veteran-registration/
