Northern and Southern Nevada Assistance with Home Repairs and Handicapped Modifications

Rebuilding Together is a resource for low-income disabled

Veterans to assist with making handicapped home modifications and critical repairs, using licensed contractors. Critical repairs include:

  • Roofing
  • Heating
  • Air conditioning
  • Water heater
  • Plumbing systems.

There is additional assistance to address smaller, but necessary repairs called, The Safe at Home Program. Repairs are completed in-house by program staff. When one of these repairs is made, staff additionally performs a 25-point Safe and Healthy Priorities Assessment on the home. This assessment helps identify any additional needed repairs or installs to return the home to a safe and healthy standard. These repairs include:

  • Ramps
  • Grab bars
  • Smoke detectors
  • CO detectors
  • Fire extinguishers
  • Bathroom modifications
  • Replacing old carpet with hard flooring
  • Door repair and installation
  • ADA accessibility modifications
  • Minor structural changes that provide accessibility

Our State is fortunate to have two chapters of the organization. To learn more about Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada CLICK HERE and for Rebuilding Together Northern Nevada CLICK HERE
