Presumptive Conditions and Benefits Explained

NDVS hosted a Health and Wellness Education Session to explain presumptive conditions and the benefits available to eligible veterans. The session was facilitated by Lisa Maciel, Director of the NDVS Veterans Advocacy and Support Team. It focused on common military exposures that are associated with certain health conditions and the VA health benefits that are potentially available to veterans who meet the eligibility criteria.

If you have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, take the Exposure Risk Questionnaire by going HERE

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs presumes certain disabilities, diseases and conditions are directly related to the unique set of circumstances surrounding military service. Presumed conditions include a range of exposures from chemical and physical to environmental hazards encountered during military service.

The Exposure Risk Questionnaire was created in partnership with the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services to understand the overall health of veterans living in Nevada. The purpose of this questionnaire is to raise awareness and educate veterans about their health as well as earned benefits due to presumed conditions.
