Nevada Department of Veterans Services – Reno

For over 65 years we have been dedicated to helping Nevada veterans get the services, benefits and quality of life they deserve. With 339,000 veterans living in our state, they rely on us to not only understand their lives, but to help them get a better quality of life. We do everything we can to show our American Heroes the same amount of respect, empathy, gratitude and service that have shown us.

At the Nevada Office of Veteran Services we focus on being advocates for veteran benefits. Throughout the state of Nevada, we offer a variety of services and benefits. Our Nevada State Veterans Home is located in Boulder City, Nevada and provides a home with specialized care, compassion and assistance. We also offer burial services with military honors at our memorial cemeteries located in both Northern and Southern Nevada. At the Nevada Office of Veterans Services we care about providing Nevada veterans and their families with services and benefits for a better life.

Our Vision

Nevadans across the state celebrate the legacy of America’s heroes—and working together we will ensure veterans and their families understand and have access to opportunities that improve their lives.

Our Mission

Provide vital and efficient service to and advocacy on behalf of veterans, their dependents, and survivors; and provide our community and partners the opportunity to contribute in these endeavors. Through our four major programs we assist veterans prepare and submit claims for benefits, provide skilled nursing care, provide burial support at our state veterans’ cemeteries, and help veterans successfully integrate into Nevada communities.
