Veterans Community Roundtables

Thank you to all the participants of the NDVS Veterans Community Roundtables held in North Las Vegas, Mesquite and Pahrump earlier this month.  

NDVS hosted this series of roundtable events on July 22, 23, 24th as a follow-up to roundtables held in May. The team met with veterans and advocates to provide information about new initiatives and to introduce new NDVS team members. 

Participants were also connected to a VSO and received help registering with the VA through ID.me.    

Attendees met NDVS new Homelessness Program Coordinator Maria Mandaleni-Orozco. They were also introduced to the Department’s Suicide Prevention Specialist, Aimee Green; Outreach Officer Cary DeMars; and Veteran and Advocacy Team Supervisor, Michael Sitton.  

The group also received a legislative update following the 2025 Nevada Legislative Session. Another series of roundtables in the same communities is underway for October. The team is firming up dates and venues with more information ahead!
