VIC Program Honors Reno-Area Veterans

The Veterans in Care (VIC) program honored Reno-area veterans through five separate VIC ceremonies at five different skilled nursing and rehabilitative care facilities! More than 150 veterans and spouses were recognized and honored for their great service and support they’ve provided to the United States and our communities. These ceremonies also assist veterans, and their families connect to benefits earned through military service.

The VIC ceremonies took place from May 6 – 8, 2024, at MorningStar Senior Living of Sparks, Summerset Senior Living, Clearwater of Rancharrah, Stone Valley Memory Care and Five Star Premier Residences of Reno.

These ceremonies show the gratitude and appreciation for our veterans with an appreciation certificate, veterans pins and American flag with also getting the executive leadership, community and family involved with the honoring of all veterans and their spouses.

NDVS would like to thank all NDVS staff who provided assistance and support with the VIC ceremonies and to the VIC participating facilities, executive leadership, families and spouses for their support and efforts with the honoring of veterans and military communities.

This year, there has been a total of seven VIC ceremonies conducted by NDVS and the VHCPM in 2024 and three upcoming VIC ceremonies are set for June with more ceremonies planned for the remainder of 2024.
