Veterans Voices We’re Listening

Calling southern Nevada veterans and their families! Veterans’ Voices: We’re Listening is an oral history collaboration underway at UNLV. It aims to include oral histories of southern Nevada veterans and their families representing all branches and eras of the U.S. military to document the diversity of veterans and their experiences, while honoring their service and sacrifices and their families.

Oral histories are currently being conducted and will be available to the public through the UNLV libraries when the project is complete.

The audio of participants is transcribed and edited. Photos and other materials can be scanned or uploaded and included in the final oral history. The project will create and publish a book of the transcript and images. The final product will be archived and made available to the public, researchers, and future generations.

Founded by Barbara Tabach, this project is jointly administered by the Women’s Research Institute of Nevada and the Military and Veterans Services Center and is generously supported by The Eleanor Kagi Foundation, a Lynn M. Bennett Legacy.
