Grounds Maintenance Workers perform landscape, garden and greenhouse duties such as planting, pruning, mowing, trimming, watering, fertilizing, weeding and snow and ice prevention and removal; and operate hand and power tools, power mowers, tractor mowers, trenching devices, forklifts and hoists. Under the direction of the Grounds Supervisor 2, the Grounds Maintenance Worker 4 position is responsible for the maintenance of the irrigation system at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, by replacing and repairing irrigation lines, valves, rotors, pop-ups, diaphragms, drip systems, bubblers, adjusting heads, solenoids, and keeping heads clear of debris. Additional duties include mowing burial sections, edging around grave markers and along roadway curbing and mow curbing, trimming trees and shrubs, spraying fertilizers and weed control, and trash cleanup. This position is in Boulder City, Nevada and the work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am-3:30 pm.
