The Vietnam Moving Wall Visits Minden

The Vietnam Moving Wall made its second visit to northern Nevada last month. NDVS Director Mary Devine was among the dignitaries who spoke at the opening ceremony to welcome and honor the traveling display at Eastside Memorial Park in Minden where it could be viewed through Memorial Day.

The Moving Wall is a half-scale replica of the Vietnam War Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. The memorial allows Vietnam War veterans and others who may not be able to travel to Washington D.C. to view the monument closer to their home. The traveling monument has been viewed across the country since 1984.
