Las Vegas Korean Association, “We Will Not Forget the Sacrifices of Korean War Veterans”

Reporter Kang Seung-gu kangseungku@yahoo.com

On November 6th, the Korean American Association of Las Vegas (Chairman Kim Hang-ho) visited the Nevada State Veterans Home and performed a condolence performance to express their gratitude.

The condolence concert was held in celebration of Veterans Day in November, in collaboration with the Korean American Association of Las Vegas, the Korean American Association of Las Vegas, the Consulate General in Los Angeles, and the heads of local organizations in Las Vegas, and was held for Korean War veterans.

The Nevada State Veterans Home has four Korean War veterans and 12 veterans who have served in Korea.

In particular, on this day, Consul General Moon Chung-hee held a ceremony to present the Apostle of Peace medal to four Korean War veterans, which received loud applause from the participants.

After the ceremony, we had a great time with Kim's Sister performance, traditional Korean classical dance, classical performance by university students, and pop song performance, and served lunch with Korean barbecue.

Chairman Kim Hang-ho said, “When I see those who sacrificed to protect democracy in Korea, I feel the preciousness of freedom. I will never forget these people and will remember them for a long time."
