Nellis AFB Public Health Emergency

Fellow Retirees,

In response to the most recent COVID-19 closures and precautions, 99th Wing Commander Col. Cavan Craddock has declared a Public Health Emergency for Nellis AFB effective Monday, April 6, 2020.

A short synopsis of changes about what this means for our valued partners across the valley follows:

•             Beginning Monday, April 6th, the base will be open to only mission essential personnel and those who live on base

•             The Satellite Pharmacy will be open to retirees until April 10th

•             Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center will remain open for emergencies and vital appointments for all beneficiaries, including retirees.

Veterans and retirees are valued members of the Nellis Air Force Base community and we are grateful for your service to our country.  We understand how much of an inconvenience this may be but it is temporary and appreciate your continued patience and understanding as we continue to fight this pandemic.

We look forward to when health and safety considerations allow us to reopen the base to our entire Armed Forces family.  Please stay tuned to www.nellis.af.mil/COVID-19 for the latest information.

Very Respectfully,

Nellis AFB Public Affairs
