Service members in Nevada who are transitioning into civilian life have access to support from NDVS through the Nevada Transition Assistance Program known as NVTAP. NVTAP has an online webpage that is available 24/7 and in-person events that are held once every quarter. Our next in-person event will be hosted in Fallon NV at the end of November.
NVTAP was established to assist those leaving or have already left the military and plan to live in Nevada. The program provides information on the resources and programs available in the Silver State to support a successful transition.
In person seminars will be provided each quarter for active duty, National Guard, Reserves, veterans and dependents near Nellis Airforce Base and Fallon Naval Air Station. Contact Program Manager Helena Otero at oteroh@veterans.nv.gov for more information.
The program provides information on a wide array of topics ranging from housing, employment, education, healthcare and much more.
