The 2023 Women Veterans and Military Conference is set for Friday, March 10th, 2023 in Las Vegas. The event will be held at the Santa Fe Station Hotel and Casino.
The day of empowerment will feature three high achieving women who will serve as keynote speakers for the event. Speakers include former NDVS Director Kat Miller. Miller served 34 years in the U.S. Army beginning her career as an enlisted soldier in the Woman's Army Corps. She achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant before commissioning as a military police officer. She continued climbing her way up the ranks achieving the rank of colonel before retiring.
Other speakers include Mrs. Cynthia Kiser-Murphy. In 2020, she was named Chief Executive Officer of the Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas which was recently acquired from Red Rock Resorts by the San Manuel Gaming and Hospitality Authority in 2021. The property includes Palm Place condominiums as well as some 700 hotel rooms and suites, multiple casual and upscaling dining options, meeting and convention space, a 2,500-seat theater, a pool and spa. Kiser-Murphy was named one of the 25 “People to Watch” by Global Gaming Business.
Finally, retired Command Sergeant Major Tabitha Gavia will round out the program. She has been described as a mentor, trailblazer, coach, and teacher. Gavia is a dynamic motivational speaker who’s thoughts on leadership and success are sure to be uplifting and inspiring.
