(Boulder City, NV) – The Southern Nevada State Veterans Home (SNSVH) has once again received the Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award which identifies the Bolder City skilled care nursing facility among the very top-performing facilities across the country.
Only 7% of facilities nationwide even qualify for consideration of this prestigious award prevented by the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA). This year, only 1,129 facilities nationwide met the selection criteria. The award is based on quality indicators and occupancy rates using three years of survey data to identify top performers.
ACHA believes that facility excellence is a reflection of leadership excellence. The purpose of the Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award is to recognize the administrators of top-performing skilled nursing facilities. The recipients are identified using publicly collected data by the Centers for Medicare & Medicare Services which is pulled and evaluated by an independent third party.
Congratulations are in order for the SNSVH Administrator, Linda Gelinger and her staff for receiving this significant recognition for several years in a row.
The SNSVH is a 180-bed skilled nursing care facility located in Boulder City, Nevada. It serves veterans, their spouses and Gold Star parents offering 24-hour skilled nursing care with a clinical team committed to “Caring for Nevada’s Heroes.” It is a State-owned and State-operated facility receiving support from the US Department of Veterans Affairs. The SNSVH is Medicare/Medicaid certified.
