Funding Criteria and Requirements


Funding Requirements 

Funding is provided through the Fund for Resilient Nevada (FRN) in accordance with Nevada Revised Statues governing the settlement-derived opioid response funding.

FRN is established in Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) 433.712 through 433.744.

All funded projects must:

  • Align with the Nevada Statewide Opioid Response Plan
  • Address opioid use disorder prevention, treatment, recovery, anti-stigma awareness/education, or support services
  • Directly serve Nevada veterans and/or their families

Activities not aligned with the Statewide Opioid Response Plan are not eligible for funding.

Evaluation & Selection Criteria

Applications will be evaluated based on:

  • Alignment with state opioid response priorities
  • Demonstrated need and expected impact
  • Capacity and readiness to implement services
  • Experience serving veterans and families
  • Strength of evaluation and performance measurement plan
  • Sustainability beyond the grant period

  • Funding amounts are not predetermined
  • All awards are subject to available funds and program priorities
  • Submission does not guarantee funding
  • Additional documents may be requested during review
