Remembering and Honoring Chairman Mike Musgrove

NDVS and the entire veterans’ community mourn the passing of Nevada Veterans Services Commission Chairman Mike Musgrove. He was a steadfast advocate, respected leader, dedicated public servant, and a devoted family man whose impact will be felt for generations.

Chairman Musgrove dedicated his life to service, first to our nation by serving in the U.S. Air Force, and then to Nevada’s veterans. As Chair of the Veterans Services Commission, he brought knowledge and experience, along with a clear understanding of the responsibility entrusted to him. He served as a steady moral compass guided by integrity, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to doing what was right for those who served.

Beyond his many titles and accomplishments, Mike will be remembered for his character. He was principled. He was passionate. He was also generous with both his time and wisdom. He earned trust because he gave it and he led with humility grounded in service to others. Mike was a thoughtful leader who listened carefully. He understood decisions affected real people and real lives. Through it all, he never lost sight of what mattered most. He never wavered in putting veterans first.

We extend our deepest condolences to the Musgrove family. We are grateful for Mike’s legacy, his leadership, and his enduring belief in the promise owed to those who served and sacrificed on our behalf. His service and influence will live on through the lives he touched and standards he set. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
