Take The Mayor’s Challenge

PsychArmor

The COVID-19 crisis is launching us into unprecedented territory. The one certainly during these uncertain times, is this public health crisis will bring an increase in human misery.

While this may feel overwhelming, there is something you can do right now to help, and it will only take a few moments of your time. You are challenged to “The Mayor’s Challenge to Prevent Suicide” by completing the online suicide prevention training course offered through the PsychAmor Institute.

The two courses are S.A.V.E Training and 15 Things Veterans Want You to Know. While the S.A.V.E. video training refers to veterans, the principles are universal. When you accept the challenge and take the courses, you will become part of a wide-spread community team and effort.

The Nevada Department of Veterans Services (NDVS) in collaboration with Las Vegas Mayor Carol Goodman, Sparks Mayor Ron Smith, and Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve are extending this challenge to anyone who wants to accept it including veterans, city and county leaders, organizations, businesses, agencies and community members. This challenge involves two steps. It takes about 25 minutes of your time.
