Announcement

The Nevada Department of Veterans Services (NDVS) is pleased to announce the availability of funding through the PROUD program utilizing funds received from the Fund for Resilient Nevada Grant (FRN). The Request For Application (RFA) process is used to solicit innovative applications for PROUD program. NDVS is responsible for administering PROUD to supplement and not supplant existing funding and establish new projects/programs focused on opioid abatement in Nevada.

FRN is established in Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) 433.712 through 433.744 and funding is guided by the required Nevada Opioid Needs Assessment and Statewide Plan 2022. Funding will not be available for any activities not specifically identified in the Plan.

The project period will run from November 1^st 2025 through June 30^th 2026, with the opportunity to renew for an additional year running July 1^st 2026 through June 30^th 2027. Budgets and an updated Scope of Work will need to be resubmitted annually for each year of the project.

Request for Application

The project application and budget form can be downloaded below. Entities interested in applying for funding are asked to submit a short Letter of Intent (LOI) to the PROUD Program by August 29, 2025, 3pm, ahead of submitting the full application.

Letter of intent must include:

• Name of applicant
• Organization
• Address

• Approximate funding amount
• A brief project summary (250 words)
